Build Up for San Mateo County and the San Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council surveyed local planning departments to compile an inventory of local land use policies and planning procedures related to child care in San Mateo as a resource for child care providers and interested potential operators in comprehension of the various sectors regulating the development of early care and education spaces.
The future child care center at Greystar’s South Main Mixed-Use project demonstrates the level of community engagement and commitment needed to create environments for families of young children to thrive. We know that high-quality, affordable child care has been in low supply for many decades and tackling this issue will require creative solutions from innovative partnerships.
