Build Up San Mateo County is a first in the nation initiative that began with a blend of seed funding from public entities such as the County of San Mateo, San Mateo County Office of Education, and First 5 San Mateo County paired with support from private foundations for startup operations. With dedicated staff based at the Child Care Coordinating Council, our initiative is currently in the process of identifying a sustainable source of funding to continue the urgent work of providing access to quality early care and education facilities in San Mateo County.

Corporations and Philanthropies generate $500,000 in support of San Mateo Child Care Relief Fund. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Google, the City of San Carlos, and New Commiunity Church contribute to the fund.
