A Message from our Build Up Co-Chair regarding COVID-19
Dear Community Partners,
The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continues to pose a serious health concern in our community. We have been closely monitoring the latest news, and we are following the guidelines and protocols provided by San Mateo County Health Department and other state and federal agencies to keep our staff, partners, and community healthy and reduce the number of those exposed to the virus.
To help you navigate the evolving situation we encourage all community partners to refer to San Mateo County Health for local updates and information. For non-medical questions about coronavirus, providers and residents in San Mateo County can call 211, which is available 24/7.
We also are following updates from:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- California Department of Public Health
- California Department of Education
- San Mateo County Office of Education
Please see our First 5 San Mateo County website for additional information specifically for parents and caregivers of young children, and for providers working with children and their families.
As the situation continues to develop, we are grateful for your partnership and continual commitment to serving children and families in San Mateo County.
Sincerely,
Kitty Lopez
F5SMC Executive Director and Build Up Advisory Body Co-Chair
