Child Care – an Infrastructure Priority

Published by Build Up on

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently highlighted Build Up’s unique approach to the challenges and solutions for building child care infrastructure. By serving as a national case study, Build Up hopes to inspire businesses around the country to join together in a coalition with public and private partners in their community to tackle this infrastructure challenge.

“With a lack of facilities being one of the most difficult obstacles, cities and counties need to prioritize developments that include child care. Child care availability doesn’t just impact families, it’s a critical piece of community infrastructure with massive economic implications.” – Amy Buckmaster, President and CEO, Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce
