Being a Good Neighbor – Tips for Family Child Care

Published by Sarah Kinahan on

Family Child Care (FCC) is an incredibly important piece of the child care system in San Mateo County, especially for families with very young children. Over 60% of licensed spaces for infants and toddlers are in FCC homes.

However, Build Up recognizes that family child care providers should take steps to make their businesses compatible with their residential neighbors. Thank you to Kristen Anderson, Child Care Coordinator for the City of Redwood City, for this helpful handout on “Being a Good Neighbor“.

Please contact Build Up if you’re interested in opening or expanding an FCC in San Mateo County for assistance in working with your city and your neighbors, buildupsmc@sanmateo4cs.org.
